Sky Manor Airport in Hunterdon County, New Jersey is an excellent place to learn to fly. Our airport ranges from slow in mid-week to busy on weekends when pilots are flying in to the Sky Manor Restaurant. This supports the building-block approach of learning to fly where each lesson becomes more complex but is based on the previous learning.

       From Sky Manor, we have access to both paved and grass strips, and both simple and complex airspace with rural Pennsylvania and New Jersey all around and Allentown, Philadelphia and New York City nearby. So a student will learn to fly in all types of airspace at his or her pace, from the simplest where no radio is even needed to the most complex in the country. The new pilot will be prepared to handle it all when he leaves the "nest."

      With the Private rating, a new pilot can be at the Jersey shore in about forty five minutes, Block Island in about an hour, Niagara Falls in about an hour and forty five minutes and so on. There is also long list of locations where you can fly in for that "$100 hamburger" and even a nearby field in Pennsylvania where you can fly in, land on the 11th fairway, and play a round of golf".
